Life is not that easy when people think about others. Helping other people sometimes needs several thoughts to consider, especially when it is mostly about financial matter. Well, there are only few people who could do such things without asking for any return. They are so generous and philanthropic that they sometimes don’t think any other things but help and help others. One best known philanthropist is Alexander von Furstenberg.
He was born in Malibu, California and spent his childhood with his sister in New York City for several years before his parents divorced. His parents both were well-known fashion designers, and it is apparently from them that he inherits such skills as well as favorable characteristics.
Later on after he finished his study, with his education background in Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, his work and life are full of adventures and variations. A number of job positions, especially at his current workplace Arrow Capital Management, LLC, have been gained and he also has good partnership with and important role at several other big companies such as IAC/InterActiveCorp and W.P. Stewart & Co., Ltd.
Alex’s philanthropic work was begun from The Diller, von Furstenberg Family Foundation, in which he is positioned as the Director. He and the foundation are currently involved in numerous charitable activities pursuiting in education, community reform, and disease research as well as some other humanities and human rights. The Foundation is managed by Alex himself, his mother Diane von Fürstenberg, his stepfather Barry Diller, and his sister, Tatiana von Furstenberg
